What becomes of the ashes
There is no single right answer. Some families choose a niche in our garden columbarium — a bronze nameplate, fresh flowers, a place to visit. Others scatter at sea from a chartered boat, divide keepsake urns among siblings, or press ashes into a memorial diamond.
We keep the ashes safe for as long as you need while you decide. There is no charge for waiting, and no rush, ever.

Cremation questions
Can we still have a service with cremation?+
Yes — most of our cremation families hold a memorial or celebration of life, with or without the urn present. A service is about gathering, not about the casket.
How long does everything take?+
Permits usually take two to four days; the cremation itself is completed within 48 hours after that. Ashes are returned in a dignified container, ready for whatever you choose next.
Is scattering at sea allowed?+
Yes, beyond three nautical miles with simple notification. We arrange attended boat scatterings monthly from the harbor, or help your family charter privately.
A note on cost
Simple cremation begins at $1,895 all-inclusive. A cremation with memorial ceremony begins around $3,200. Everything is itemized in writing first.
